Recently, the Ministry of Education issued “The Ministry of Education’s Notice on the 2019 Undergraduate Programs Record and Approval Results for Higher Education Institutions”([2020] No.2).Theprogramof New Energy Science and Engineering applied byCUMTBis approved to be added, and the university plans to start enrollment in 2020.

The New Energy Science and Engineering is applied and constructed under the School of Energy and Mining Engineering. The establishment of thisprogramis an important measure forCUMTBto respond positivelyactivelyto the national energy strategy for new energy technology talents and the construction of“new engineering”by the Ministry of Education. Thisprogramis mainly oriented to the development needs of new energy industry at home and abroad, and focuses on cultivating high-quality technical R&D talents and management talents for the production, transformation, storage and utilization of clean energy systems such as wind energy, geothermal energy, solar energy, biomass energy and chemical energy.
