CUMTB Hosts "Joy Reading" Activity Sharing Meeting for the 2022 Capital College Students Health Festival

On April 27, CUMTBhosted the online "Joy Reading" activity sharing meeting for the 2022 Capital College Students' Health Festival targeted at college students in Beijing. The theme of the sharing meeting was "Finding Ways to Stabilize the Mind in Uncertainty".In the afternoon, there was an exchange of ideas between teachers and students. Firstly, Liu Haijuan,Director of the Mental Health Education Counseling Center of Student AffairsOfficeof the CUMTBParty Committee, shared the results of the questionnaire survey on the reading status of college students in Beijing. Subsequently, representatives from Beijing Normal University, Minzu University of China, and Beijing City University, including Song Zhenshao, Zhang Yangyang, and Mao Xiaorui, Executive Deputy Directors of the Mental Health Education Counseling Center,Student AffairsOffice ofthethree university’sParty Committee, shared their insights. Finally, student representatives from the five universities that won the "Joy Reading" award in 2021 shared their experiences. In the evening, the exchange featured an expert lecture with Professor Bai Xuejun, Vice President of Tianjin Normal University, delivering a talk on "Reading Classics, Improving Mental Health Level." Nearly 2,000 participants joined the online exchange and sharing activities.
This event marked the beginning of the "Joy Reading" activity for the 2022 Capital College Student Health Festival. Hosted by our university, the activity aims to engage in the reading, spiritual reflection, and sharing of outstanding classic books. Through these reading activities, students can enrich their spiritual lives, elevate their minds, and share perspectives on literature, influencing those around them. This approach serves to spread the positive energy of contemporary college students, expanding the reach and impact of the event. "Joy Reading" has now become a distinctive brand in Beijing.
