CUMTB Leads Establishment of the China-Argentina “Joint Research Center for Effective Exploitation of Mineral Resources”

The China-Argentina "Joint Research Center for Effective Exploitation of Mineral Resources" was recently established through collaborative efforts, with the State Key Laboratory of Coal Resources and Safe Mining at CUMTB taking the lead on behalf of the university. This initiative involves the participation of the Catholic University of Salta and Sunwoda Electronic Co., Ltd.
The signing ceremony for the establishment of the Joint Research Center involving CUMTB, the Catholic University of Salta, and Sunwoda Electronic Co., Ltd., was successfully conducted on the evening of December 15 through an online meeting. The ceremony was attended by Academician Ge Shirong, President of CUMTB, Academician Peng Suping, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Coal Resources and Safe Mining, Rodolfo Gallo Cornejo, President of the Catholic University of Salta, and Wang Mingwang, Chairman of Sunwoda Electronic Co., Ltd., along with relevant department heads from the three participating organizations.
The China-Argentina "Joint Research Center for Effective Exploitation of Mineral Resources" will collaborate on geological exploration, resource development, safe mining, ecologically sustainable mining, and the preparation of advanced materials from lithium, copper, and other mineral resources. This collaboration, based on mutual benefit and trust, will involve joint laboratories, cooperative research, talent exchange, and the publication of scientific research papers.
Zhao Yixin, Director of the Institute of Science and Technology, and Yang Ying, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, CUMTB, attended the meeting.
