CUMTB Hosts Award Ceremony for September Star in Campus Health Run

On the afternoon of October 24, CUMTB held the award ceremony for the September Star of Campus Health Running for the first semester of the 2022-2023 academic year at the Shahe Campus. An Yu, Deputy Secretary ofthe CUMTBPartyCommittee and Director of the Sports Committee of CUMTB, presented the 'Star of Campus Health Running' honorary certificates to students from the 2021 and 2022 batches who achieved the top five rankings for both male and female participants in the September health run. He congratulated the winning students and emphasized the significance of health running, highlighting its role in physical exercise and character development. An Yu encouraged students to actively participate in sports, foster good lifestyle habits, and enhance their overall well-being.
In September, Yang Dongxin, a 2021 student from the School of Mechanics & Civil Engineering, ran 103 kilometers. He said,“The Campus Running activity has created a great sports atmosphere for us. During the time spent running with classmates, I not only made many friends who love sports but also realized the positive significance of perseverance in maintaining an active lifestyle and physical fitness.”Cai Anglin, a 2021 student from the School of Science, ran 96 kilometers. He exclaimed,“The human spirit is extraordinary, and as long as one is dedicated to a particular endeavor, one will undoubtedly achieve surprising results. Today's award for Campus Health Running is anaffirmation of my commitment to running. Thanks to the companionship of my running friends, I hope every CUMTB student running on the road can overcome monotony and difficulties, running towards a healthy and joyful tomorrow.”
