Students Excel in the “China-Air Cinda Cup” Computer Application Competition across North China's Five Provinces (Cities, Autonomous Regions), and Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan

On November 4th, the final round of the “China-Air Cinda Cup” Computer Application Competition across North China's Five Provinces (Cities, Autonomous Regions), and Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan concluded at Beijing Union University. The project titled “Motion Smart Friend - Fitness and Movement Correction System Based on Human Pose Estimation”, developed by Su Yanan, Gao Zihan, Wu Yuchen, and Lei Jiecong from Department of Computer, School of Artificial Intelligence (supervised by Zhu Hong), secured the first prize.

The competition, hosted by Education Commissions of Beijing, Tianjin, Shanxi, Hebei, and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, was organized by Beijing Union University and Computer Education Research Association of Beijing Higher Education Society. A total of 527 teams from 100 universities across 5 regional competitions participated in the event. Following preliminary rounds in each region, 116 teams from 57 institutions advanced to the final. Nearly 600 students participated in the on-site defense. The competition, guided by the fundamental principles of “government sponsorship, expert guidance, student-led, and societal participation”, has successfully completed its twelfth edition.

School of Artificial Intelligence, as the organizing unit of the competition, placed great emphasis on the organizational work, meticulously planned, actively promoted, and mobilized students to register for the competition. After careful preparation and outstanding defense, it ultimately achieved an excellent result by winning the first prize nationally.
