The Exchange Meeting on the Integration and Application Achievements of Mining Robots and Safety Production was Held in Beijing

To implement the directives outlined in documents such as the "Key Research and Development Catalog of Coal Mine Robots" and the "Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Intelligent Development of Coal Mines" issued by the National Mine Safety Administration and other relevant departments, along with the "Action Plan for the Implementation of 'Robot+' Applications" released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and 16 other departments, aiming to elevate the safety and intelligence levels in mining production, promote innovation and application of mining robots, and facilitate the high-quality development of China's mining and energy industries, the Exchange Meeting on the Integration and Application Achievements of Mining Robots and Safety Production was held on August 18, 2023, at the Chang'an Hall of Zhaoling Grand Hotel in Beijing. The conference was jointly organized by the Coal Mine Robot Collaborative Promotion Center of Information Institute of Emergency Management and the Mining Robot Innovation Application Alliance, with the co-sponsorship of China University of Mining and Technology-Beijing and CITIC HIC Intelligence. Over 200 representatives from 79 units, including national robot and coal mining equipment manufacturing enterprises, metal mines, universities, and research institutions participated in the exchange meeting.
Academician Ge Shirong presented a report on the “Progress and Future Prospects in the Research and Application of Mining Robots” at the conference. In his analysis, he delved into the unique features of China's mining production, highlighting the challenges posed by the abundance of mines, a sizable workforce, and the inherent complexity of the industry.
During the conference, participating representatives had the opportunity to explore the exhibition showcasing achievements from alliance member units and the World Robot Conference. The display included contributions from alliance members, including CITIC HIC Intelligence, as well as relevant universities and companies such as Tsinghua University and Xiaomi, highlighting advancements in the research and development of intelligent robots.
The "Mining Robot Innovation Application Alliance" was jointly initiated by China University of Mining and Technology-Beijing and CITIC HIC Intelligence. Established on June 26, 2021, at China University of Mining and Technology-Beijing, with guidance from Safety Foundation Division of the National Mine Safety Administration and the National Working Safety Emergency Rescue Center, the alliance includes member units from 36 national backbone enterprises in robot and coal mining equipment manufacturing, coal production enterprises, universities, and research institutions.
