The results of the 17^th National College Student Chemical Engineering Design Competition were recently announced, highlighting the outstanding success of our university's representative teams. The team named “Victory” consisting of class of 2020 chemical engineering students Liang Yilin, He Qionglan, Pei Huafeng, Yang Kunteng, and Li Ying, emerged as national champions after intense competition. This achievement signifies our university's 12^th consecutive win of the national first prize in this esteemed competition. Furthermore, the team “ADNC“ comprising Lin Dianbin, Xu Danyang, Sun Huimei, Mai Lichan, and Zhang Tian, secured the national second prize. The teams “KDHG” featuring Wang Bosen, Mo Beiwen, Meng Weijie, Ye Xiaoqing, and Tian Xing, and “Alkene and Nitrile Team”, composed of Wang Shujin, Tan Jingjing, Huang Liyuan, Meng Qingkuan, and Cai Leyao, both received the national third prize.

National College Student Chemical Engineering Design Competition is jointly organized by the Chemical Engineering Professional Committee of Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China, the Ministry of Education and China Education Association of Chemical Industry. It is open to students majoring in chemical engineering from universities across the country and stands out as the highest-level competition in China's chemical engineering domain, with the largest number of participating teams and significant influence.

Our university's chemical engineering program is recognized as a national first-class undergraduate program and has received engineering education accreditation. The Chemical Engineering Department places significant emphasis on nurturing students' engineering design and innovation capabilities. The recent triumph in the National College Student Chemical Engineering Design Competition is particularly noteworthy, marking our university's thirteenth consecutive participation and twelfth consecutive win of the national first prize since our inaugural entry in 2011. This accomplishment underscores the prowess of our university's chemical engineering students in the realms of engineering design and innovation.
