In 2021, in response to the difficulties that the global COVID-19 pandemic posed to international exchange and cooperation, our university strengthened research, actively explored new avenues, and took proactive measures. As a result, we achieved significant breakthroughs in expanding intercollegiate cooperation, providing more high-quality international education platforms for our faculty and students, and reserving resources to quickly resume international cooperation and exchange once the pandemic situation improves.

In that year, our university signed project cooperation agreements or memorandums of understanding with 12 universities, including University of Oxford in the UK, University of Washington in the USA, RWTH Aachen University in Germany, Trinity Western University in Canada, the Orleans University in France, University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, University of Vienna in Austria, University of California, Berkeley in the USA, Riga Technical University in Latvia, National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, and University of Macau. Additionally, we renewed cooperation agreements with University of Florence in Italy, University of Leeds in the UK, Pennsylvania State University in the USA, and University of Mons in Belgium. The newly signed agreements with four universities from Slovenia, Latvia, Austria, and Uzbekistan, countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, vividly demonstrate our university's active response to the national Belt and Road Initiative.

In the future, CUMTB will continue to face challenges head-on and further expand cooperation with high-level teaching and research institutions overseas. We will engage in broader and deeper exchanges in areas such as faculty visits, joint student training programs, and research and academic exchanges, thereby supporting the university's new round of "Double First-Class" discipline
