CUMTB Students Excel in the 13th National Mathematics Competition for College Students

Recently, the results of the 13thNational Mathematics Competition for College Students and the 32ndBeijing Mathematics Competition for College Students were announced, and our students achieved record-breaking results.
In this competition, a total of 602 students from our university registered. Ultimately, 237 students won awards at the Beijing level across various categories, including 50 first prizes, 73 second prizes, and 114 third prizes, with 34 awards in the mathematics professional group. Additionally, 204 students received national awards, including 29 first prizes, 65 second prizes, and 110 third prizes. The number of participating and winning students from both non-mathematics and mathematics majors reached an all-time high.
In recent years, National Mathematics Competition for College Students coaching team has steadfastly adhered to the fundamental task of educating students with integrity, fully recognizing the significant role of academic competitions in shaping values, fostering abilities, and imparting knowledge. During competition training, there is a deliberate integration of moral education elements, blending scientific research methods with competition preparation to cultivate students' pursuit of excellence, a spirit of striving for progress, and resilience in the face of failure. Efforts have been actively made to explore competition coaching content tailored to our university's characteristics, including having published the textbook "Guide to National Mathematics Competition for College Students Problem Solving" by CUMTB responsible faculty. This textbook provides guide for students to master scientific thinking methods and fostering their innovative spirit and consciousness.
