On November 28^th, under the guidance of the Higher Education Division of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, and organized by the Beijing College English Education Development Center, the Beijing Association of Higher Education'sCollege English Research Section, and Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press, the final round of the 4^thSFLEP Cup Beijing College Students’ Intercultural Competence Contest was hosted by Capital Normal University. A team from our university consisting of Zhang Fan, English major, from School of Law and Humanities, Class of 2020, Li Bingyan, Law major, from School of Law and Humanities, Class of 2019, and Zhou Junhui, majoring in Civil Engineering, from School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering, Class of 2019, stood out among 35 teams selected from Beijing universities. They achieved outstanding results by securing the first place in the Second Prize in Beijing City.

This year marked our university's debut in this competition. With strong support from the Academic Affairs Office and School of Law and Humanities, our Foreign Language Department competition team, under the professional guidance of teachers Zhou Yingli and Du Ying, excelled in the video semifinals. They smoothly advanced to the finals as one of the ten finalist teams, where they demonstrated outstanding performance and ultimately achieved a prestigious award.

This competition provided our students with a platform to showcase themselves and demonstrate their English proficiency. It was a beneficial practice that enhanced the humanistic atmosphere of our school and promoted cultural development.
