On November 9, the "4^thInternational Forum of Young Mining Scientists," co-sponsored by China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) and the China Coal Research Institute, and jointly organized by the School of Energy and Mining Engineering and the editorial department of "Coal Science and Technology," among others, was held at our university. The forum focused on the theme of "Coal, Green, Intelligence, Youth, Innovation." University President Liu Bo, Vice President of China Coal Technology & Engineering Group Liu Jianzhong, and Vice President of the China Coal Society Zhang Jianming attended the forum and delivered speeches. Wang Guofa, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and editor-in-chief of "Coal Science and Technology" magazine, attended the conference and delivered a keynote speech.

During the conference, over 200 experts and scholars from more than 30 institutions participated. Forty-one experts presented excellent academic reports on cutting-edge, popular topics, and major technical issues in fundamental, applied, and emerging disciplines related to coal.
