On the afternoon of November 1, the Technological Innovation Industrial Exhibition of the 21stChina Rock Mechanics and Engineering Academic Annual Conference opened at the Tianfu International Convention Center in Chengdu.
Amid warm applause, the guests jointly lifted the colored sand symbolizing technological innovation and slowly poured it into the exhibition board. This symbolized that rock mechanics and engineering professionals had gathered together, pooling their wisdom like a tower, to jointly push scientific research to new heights. It also officially kicked off the CHINA ROCK 2024 Technological Innovation Industrial Exhibition.
The exhibition site featured six themed exhibition areas, covering major projects, innovation achievements from key laboratories and universities, new materials, new technologies, new equipment, new software, CSRME Science and Technology Awards and excellent projects, academic journals, and popular science bases. The exhibition attracted 109 exhibitors showcasing the latest scientific and technological innovation achievements. The types of exhibiting organizations were diverse, including national key laboratories, higher education research institutions, equipment companies, and journal publishers. For example, Power Construction Corporation of China Chengdu Engineering Corporation and Guangzhou Metro Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. appeared in the major projects exhibition area; the National Key Laboratory of Intelligent Construction and Health Maintenance of Deep Underground Engineering at the School of Hydraulic and Hydro-power Engineering, Sichuan University, was exhibited in the key laboratories and university innovation achievements area; Shenzhen Pegasus Robotics Co., Ltd. and Jinan Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. were showcased in the new materials, new instruments, new equipment, and new software exhibition area; and "Rock Mechanics Bulletin," "Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering," and "Chinese Journal of Rock Mechanics and Engineering" were displayed in the academic journals and popular science bases area, collectively presenting the cutting-edge technology and innovative applications of over a hundred exhibitors.
